About Us

Based in Durango, Colorado, Animas Academics is the local solution for you or your child’s supplementary educational needs. We offer one-on-one tutoring for all ages of student, from kindergarten through college, and provide instruction in all levels of all subjects. We believe that success is rooted in the quality of our instructors, and therefore, we employ a broad network of tutors with decades of combined experience. If you or you child are struggling, we have someone who can help.

We believe that one-on-one tutoring is a much more effective vector for learning because it allows our instructors to teach concepts instead of facts. By teaching concepts, as well as critical thinking skills, students are taught how to learn, instead of simply memorizing information. Private sessions and a large network of tutors also give Animas Academics the unique ability to cater our curriculum specifically to our students’ needs, as well as meet the needs of students with special requirements.
